Hamclock - A useful tool for your shack

Hamclock - A useful tool for your shack

When it comes to the world of amateur radio, there is a lot of software out there, you can use to make your life a little bit more pleasant - Hamclock is exactly that. You can totally operate without using it, and would potentially miss it if you would not, but its not neccessary.

However, it’s a great tool, and I use it from time to time. It has some fancy tools in it, such as a MUF (maximum usable frequency) map, display of DX/SOTA/POTA spots, azimut and distance to a contact, solar weather, band openings, and much much more.

I really liked the project, but didn’t like the manual tasks to install it. So I’ve built a project, building and running Hamclock as a docker container .

Using this, the only requirements on your machine are docker/podman or any compatible runtime and a linux base system. However as of now it doesn’t work on Raspbery Pies. But it works on Linux, macOS and Windows WSL2.
